I had a surprise introduction to fashion design. While enrolled at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I focused my studies on becoming a sequential artist. My advising professor had other ideas when she saw my characters' outfit sketches, and changed my schedule to fashion design courses without my knowledge. 

Recently, I took a trip to Rome. It was an inspirational buffet of history, culture, art and fashion. Ancient ruins, huge tapestries, jaw dropping art collections, a behind-the-scenes tour at the House of Fendi and a Gustav Klimt exhibit are sure to have my creative wheels turning for years to come. 

I learned the life changing power of good leadership from a great basketball coach. As a collegiate point guard at SCAD, I acquired priceless skills-having vision, building camaraderie within the team, motivating others to perform and scoring under pressure. These are priceless tools that I use when managing creatives.
